We are excited to announce that our 38 acre preserve is being considered for a designated Short-Earred Owl preservation site. Biologists have determined the location to be ideal for the threatened species. Removal of invasive plant species and introduction of native plants will be maintained on a yearly basis to keep the meadow habitat for the owls. It will be prepared by biologists from Carson Power Military Road Solar. The parcel is l adjacent to the Town of Niagara Veterans Memorial Park woods, west of Miller Road, and north of the power-lines .
The Town of Niagara Farmland Conservancy is accepting donations to obtain needed matching funding for a future Niagara River Greenway grant request.
