Preserve Rural Niagara

The Town of Niagara Farmland Conservancy was awarded a generous grant from the Niagara River Greenway Commission. The proposed Greenway project a purchased 26.3 additional acres. The plan includes trails winding around the edges of the preserve, along the enhanced hedgerows, allowing for substantial areas of undisturbed meadow for nesting birds and wildlife.
The community organic gardens and orchard will be located along the backyards of properties along Colonial Drive, and will act as a buffer zone between the homes and habitat areas.
